Expert Testimony Carl Lewis has qualified as an expert witness in the Superior Courts of five Bay Area (California) counties and in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of California, on more than 190 occasions since 1995. The primary area of his expert testimony has been the Child Sexual Abuse Accommodation Syndrome (Summit, 1983), used to dispel common myths about the dynamics of child sexual abuse. Carl Lewis also has testified as an expert on the interviewing of children, child exploitation, and techniques for the investigation of child sexual abuse cases.
